Tert-butyl acetate is a colorless flammable liquid used as an EPA exempt low-VOC solvent in inks, lacquers, enamels, adhesives, thinners and industrial cleaners. It has a distinct blueberry-like smell. It is produced from acetic acid and isobutylene.
