Monoethanolamine is a bifunctional molecule which contains a primary amine and a primary alcohol. It is produced by reacting ethylene oxide with aqueous ammonia. This reaction also produces diethanolamine and triethanolamine. Monoethanolamine is a weak base and is used in gas scrubbing applications to efficiently remove carbon dioxide from emission sources. It is also used in pH control and in the production of detergents, emulsifiers, polishes, pharmaceuticals, corrosion inhibitors, and chemical intermediates.

Minimum orders are typically one drum for liquid materials and pallets for materials that ship in bags. Availability varies. Please call for details.
