Hexamine is a white crystalline compound used in the production of plastics, pharmaceuticals, and rubber additives. It is derived from formaldehyde and ammonia. The largest use for hexamine is as a hardening component in phenolic resins and phenolic resin molding compounds used in abrasive products and brake and clutch linings.
