The BKT Carbon Black facility in Bhuj, Gujarat, India was commissioned in Q1/2019 and is fully operational. The annual capacity is 130,000MT (287 million pounds) with an in progress expansion which will extend capacity to 218,000 MT/year by 2023. Both hard and soft carbon black ASTM grades are available. Their four furnace-black-process reactors utilize state-of-the-art process controls and patented reactor design for consistency and compliance to quality standards. Five additional reactors will be added as part of the expansion. BKT Carbon is proud to offer sulfur content of ≤0.5% in their Carbon Black, among the lowest in the industry.
BKT Carbon has a full R&D facility equipped with scanning electronic microscope, nitrogen surface area analyzer, particle size analyzer, sulfur analyzer, dynamic mechanical analyzer, rheometer, Mooney viscometer, UTM and Lab Banbury, etc.
BKT Carbon, in addition to supplying BKT Tires internal demand, has exports to Brazil, Israel, Thailand Sri Lanka, Nepal and UAE where they supply leading manufacturers of tires, tubes, bladders, mechanical rubber goods, plastic masterbatch and rubber compounds.
