Acrylic Acid is the simplest carboxylic acid. It is generally produced by the oxidation of propylene. It is a colorless liquid with a characteristic tart odor. Acrylic Acid is used to make acrylates such as methyl methacrylate, butyl acrylate, 2EH acrylate and others.
